Simi Valley Paul DePriest Jr. Paul DePriest, Jr. passed away Saturday April 28th, 2012 while visiting friends and family in Arkansas. Born March 4th, 1940 in Senath, Missouri. Preceded in death by his parents Opal Russell DePriest, Silas Paul DePriest, Sr., and his younger brother James DePriest. Paul was in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962 on the U.S.S. Henley DD-762 where he traveled to the Mediterranian. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, and mountain biking. He loved photography, airplanes, had a knack for silversmithing and liked to make jewelry for his girls. He also traveled extensively state-side and abroad. Paul retired from Northrup after 32 years of service as a Plaster Pattern Tool Maker. He was selected for special assignment by the U.S. Air Force and traveled to Taiwan for six months with an honorary rank of Colonel to teach them his trade of mold making for repairing the F5 Aircraft. Paul is survived by his younger brother Phil and wife Claudia, sister Judy, sister-in-law Gina, daughter Michelle and husband John, daughter Lisa, their mother Barbara, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who all loved him very much. Memorial service to be held May 12th, 2012 from 1-3 in the afternoon at the Rose Family Funeral Home at 4444 Cochran Street in Simi Valley
